Your guide to effortlessly managing online orders and returns.

Getting Started

Creating Your Account

Follow these simple steps to create your My Order Tracker account:

  1. Launch the My Order Tracker app on your device.
  2. On the initial sign-in screen, tap the "Create Account" button.
  3. Enter your preferred email address. This will be used for login and account recovery.
  4. Choose a strong, secure password for your account.
  5. A verification code will be sent to your email. Enter this code in the app to verify your account.
For enhanced security, use a unique password for My Order Tracker that includes a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

Managing Orders

Adding a New Order Manually

Keep track of all your purchases by adding them to the app:

  1. Navigate to the "Orders" tab.
  2. Tap the "+" icon, usually located in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select "Add Order Manually".
  4. Fill in the order details:
    • Vendor Name: The name of the store or seller.
    • Order Number: The unique identifier for your order.
    • Order Date: The date you placed the order.
    • Total Amount: The total cost of the order.
  5. Tap "Add Item" to include individual products in your order. For each item, specify its name, price, and quantity. You can also add optional details like size or color.
  6. Optionally, add the Carrier and Tracking Number if you have them.
  7. Set the initial Order Status (e.g., Confirmed, Shipped).
  8. Tap "Save" (or a similar button) to add the order to your list.

Viewing and Editing Orders

Access and update your order information at any time:

  • In the "Orders" tab, you'll see your orders grouped by month, with the newest orders appearing first.
  • Tap on any order to view its detailed information, including items, status, and tracking.
  • To edit an order, open its detail view and look for an "Edit" button or icon (often a pencil).
  • You can modify most order details: vendor name, order number, date, total amount, items (add, edit, or remove), order status, and tracking information.
  • Remember to save any changes you make.

Deleting an Order

Remove orders you no longer need to track:

  1. Open the detail view of the order you wish to delete.
  2. Look for a "Delete" option, often found within a menu (e.g., three dots) or as a button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted. Note that this action is usually permanent.

Filtering and Searching Orders

Quickly find the orders you're looking for:

  • Filtering: At the top of the "Orders" tab, you can typically filter your orders by status, such as "Open Orders" or "Completed Orders".
  • Searching: Use the search bar to find orders by vendor name or order number.

Managing Returns

Initiating a Return for an Item

Mark items you intend to return and track their progress:

  1. Open the order containing the item(s) you wish to return from the "Orders" tab.
  2. In the order details, find the list of items.
  3. Select the item you are returning. You may need to tap on the item or an "edit" option associated with it.
  4. Change the item's status to "Return". You might also be able to specify a return reason.
  5. Save the changes to the item.
  6. Once an item is marked for return, it will appear in the "Returns" tab.

Tracking Returns

Stay updated on your return process:

  • Navigate to the "Returns" tab to see all items you've marked for return.
  • Items are typically grouped by month and then by vendor.
  • You can filter returns by "Outstanding" (awaiting refund) or "Refunded".
  • Use the search bar to find specific returns by vendor, order number, or item name.
  • Update the order's `Refund Amount` and `Return Status` (e.g., Return Shipped, Refund Issued) via the `OrderDetailView` as your return progresses.
Keep your return shipping receipts and any communication from the vendor until your refund is confirmed.

Managing Kept Items

Marking Items as Kept

Easily identify items you've decided not to return:

  1. Locate the order containing the item in the "Orders" tab.
  2. Open the order details.
  3. Select the specific item and change its status to "Keep".
  4. Save the item details. The item will now appear in the "Kept Items" tab.

Viewing Kept Items

See a clear list of all items you have decided to keep:

  • Go to the "Kept Items" tab.
  • Items are displayed, grouped by month and then by vendor.
  • You can search for specific kept items using the search bar (by vendor, order #, or item name).

Account Management

Updating Your Profile

Keep your account information up to date:

  1. Tap on the "Account" tab.
  2. You will see your registered email address.
  3. Tap "Edit Profile" to change your Display Name.
  4. Enter your desired display name and save the changes.
  5. Your phone number, if provided during sign-up or profile setup, will also be displayed here (currently view-only from this screen).

Currency Preferences

Set your preferred currency for displaying order totals:

  1. In the "Account" tab, find the "Preferences" section.
  2. Select "Currency".
  3. Choose your desired currency from the list. All monetary values in the app will then be displayed in this currency.

Signing Out

Securely log out of your account:

  1. Go to the "Account" tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap the "Sign Out" button.
  3. Confirm that you wish to sign out.
